speculative hold, not a clean buy yet.
Q2 revenue fell 31% to $11.9 million, adjusted EBITDA dropped to $0.1 million and net loss widened to $4.6 million, but management expects 2027 revenue above $100 million, anchored by a roughly $100 million annual, two-year data-center bridge-power contract. The investment case depends heavily on executing that project and converting a largely uncontracted pipeline; aerospace demand visibility remains limited and Galveston has no firm FID date.
Second-half 2026 revenue is expected to rise more than 50% versus the first half as the new six-month data-center commissioning project begins liquid deliveries in August and other awarded contracts commence.
The $2.9 million vessel charter cost should not recur after termination, removing a near-term earnings drag, although the failed customer commitment highlights contract-execution risk.
The company has received the full $25 million of advance payments for the 2027 data-center contract, supporting equipment and mobilization but also leaving only $4.5 million of unrestricted cash within $18.9 million of reported liquidity.
Aerospace revenue grew 71% year over year and LNG volume rose 79%, but the market will need to see sustained launch cadence and incremental customer wins to validate the recovery.
The 2027 bridge-power contract could transform scale and margins if delivered: management expects company revenue above $100 million and an adjusted EBITDA margin in the high teens, while using third-party LNG to avoid large liquefaction-capacity investment.
Data-center opportunities span construction, commissioning, bridge power and long-term backup. Management said construction and commissioning have the largest number of opportunities, while bridge power has the largest revenue potential.
The asset-light model is strategically attractive because purchased LNG, logistics, mobile equipment and field services can support large projects without building capacity ahead of demand; however, it may expose margins to supply availability and execution complexity.
Aerospace could become a durable growth vertical, but analysts pressed on the lack of long-term volume commitments. Management acknowledged customers historically avoid fixed-volume contracts and that visibility is mainly around the next 18 months.
Galveston received a Coast Guard waterway-suitability recommendation, but the project remains dependent on commercial offtake and financing and has not reached final investment decision.
The current earnings base is weak: revenue declined 31% year over year, adjusted EBITDA was nearly breakeven, and the company incurred a $2.9 million charter charge after an anticipated marine customer commitment failed to materialize.
The headline 2027 outlook is not formal guidance. The CFO explicitly said the company was not providing 2027 guidance, making the greater-than-$100 million revenue expectation a management framework dependent on one major project and additional execution.
Aerospace demand remains difficult to contractually underwrite: management said customers have not committed to long-term fixed volumes, launch cadence remains inconsistent, and visibility beyond 18 months is limited.
Long-term data-center backup is presented as a major future opportunity, but the company has no such contract today. Management could not provide economics, and current data centers primarily use diesel backup.
Galveston’s timeline has slipped and management is still unable to provide a firm FID date; the regulatory milestone does not resolve financing, offtake or construction risk.
The company is investing in equipment and supply commitments while holding limited unrestricted cash and $7.5 million of debt; customer advances are restricted and cannot be treated as unrestricted financial flexibility.
