Strong growth is offset by acquisition, leverage, working-capital and foundit execution risks.

Latest call · Q1 2026

Hold: Q1 was strong, with revenue of INR930 crore (+20% YoY), EBITDA of INR35 crore (+48%) and a 3.8% margin, while management reiterated FY27 targets of over INR4,700 crore revenue, INR200 crore EBITDA and INR100 crore PAT. STEAG adds major growth potential, but the thesis still depends on executing INR5,200 crore of contracts, integrating LSG, reducing debt and finally turning around foundit.

Near term

STEAG mobilizations began in July and are expected to contribute approximately INR1,000 crore of FY27 revenue at 7%-8% EBITDA margins.

Telecom capex recovery from Q2 and seasonally better security collections could support second-half growth and margins.

LSG India closing is expected within weeks; the acquisition would add over INR110 crore of annual revenue at high-teen EBITDA margins.

Foundit needs quarterly sales of roughly INR38-40 crore, with the company targeting Q4 FY27 EBITDA breakeven after INR35-40 crore of FY27 cash burn.

Longer term

The integrated offering across facility management, security, engineering and power-plant O&M may support larger outcome-based contracts and cross-selling.

Management targets security margins of 4%-4.5% over the next few years and believes FY30 targets of 5.5%-6% EBITDA margins and 20% ROE could be reached by FY29.

The competitive moat is strongest in STEAG's technical expertise and German pedigree; facility management and security remain commoditized, with management acknowledging competition from large domestic and international players.

LSG's Bengaluru airport concession runs to 2039 and offers a higher-margin, annuity-like food-services platform, though capacity constraints may emerge after several years.

Red flags

Foundit's EBITDA loss widened to INR14 crore in Q1, and management's breakeven timeline has slipped before; the promised Q4 breakeven remains unproven despite higher marketing spending.

Net debt was approximately INR172 crore before LSG financing, with roughly INR125 crore of additional acquisition debt expected; management still targets below 1x net debt/EBITDA and aggressive repayment.

Working-capital days are expected to rise from 37 to approximately 45 as STEAG and other industrial contracts scale, potentially absorbing cash from growth.

The INR5,200 crore STEAG contract opportunity is large relative to the existing business, but management did not provide a detailed FY27/FY28 revenue phasing or contract-level margin bridge.

Security EBITDA margin was only 2.8% in Q1, and the broader business remains low-margin; the FY27 margin expansion case relies heavily on execution and mix improvement.
