South Manganese Investment Ltd is an investment holding company mainly engaged in the mining and trading business of manganese. The Company operates its business through four segments. The Electrolytic Manganese Metal (EMM) and Alloy Materials Production segment is principally engaged in the mining and processing of ores for hydrometallurgical processing, as well as the production of EMM and manganese briquette, and pyrometallurgical processing for the production of silicomanganese alloy and ferromanganese. The Battery Materials Production segment engages in the manufacture and sale of battery materials products. The Manganese Mining segment is principally engaged in the mining and production of manganese products. The Other Businesses segment is principally engaged in commodity trading, sales of scraps and rental of investment properties and leasehold land and investments in companies engaged in the mining and production of non-manganese metals and trading business.
