Distribution expert
Get OpenFilings in front of the right buyers — funds, fintechs, data teams, and AI builders. Partnerships, integrations, and channel strategy for Filings, Atom (RSS+), and API access.
OpenFilings is a live cross-market filing layer — normalized KPIs from SEC, EDINET, OpenDART, CNINFO, and more. Filings and Atom (RSS+) are free for analysts; MCP and REST API serve developers and agents. We need someone who knows where this product fits in real buyer workflows and can open doors without a six-month enterprise cycle.
Buyers care about three things: verified numbers (not LLM guesses), cross-GAAP comparability, and a delivery format that fits their stack — RSS reader, Python notebook, or MCP-connected agent. Your job is to find those buyers and make OpenFilings the default filing layer in their toolchain.
Role
What you'll do
- Identify and prioritize distribution channels: fintech data marketplaces, research platforms, AI agent ecosystems, and fund-facing tooling.
- Build and maintain partnerships — co-marketing, integration listings, referral flows, and embedded Filings / Atom (RSS+) / API access.
- Map buyer personas (quant researchers, platform engineers, data product leads) to the right OpenFilings surface (Filings, Atom / RSS+, MCP, REST API).
- Run lightweight integration pilots: help partners wire list_filings / get_company_financials or subscribe via Atom (RSS+) in under a week.
- Feed market signal back to product — which markets, KPIs, and delivery formats partners ask for most.
- Represent OpenFilings at relevant communities (fintech, quant infra, AI-for-finance) without corporate fluff.
Profile
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years in fintech, market data, research tools, or B2B SaaS distribution — you have existing relationships, not just a playbook.
- You understand how funds, fintechs, or data teams procure and integrate external data (API keys, feeds, MCP connectors).
- Comfortable demoing a technical product: Filings in a browser, a curl to the REST API, or an MCP session in Claude/Cursor.
- Clear written communication — partnership one-pagers, integration docs, and follow-up that respects technical buyers.
- Self-directed and part-time compatible: you manage your own pipeline and report outcomes, not hours.
Plus
Nice to have
- Background in sell-side or buy-side research, quant platforms, or financial data vendors (Bloomberg-alternatives, alt-data, filing analytics).
- Experience listing or distributing through AWS Marketplace, Snowflake Marketplace, or similar channels.
- Familiarity with MCP, RSS/Atom feeds, or developer-first GTM motions.
- French or Japanese language skills (we cover EDINET and ESEF-heavy workflows).
