For You: your home feed, ranked — not a filings firehose

The original OpenFilings feed was one stream, reverse-chronological, same order for everyone. If you watched five tickers, you still scrolled past every filing from every market to find them. That is fine for a firehose product. It is not fine for a home screen.

The problem with one global feed

Most filing products treat your watchlist as a filter bolted onto a global firehose. You pull down hundreds of rows, then hunt for the five companies you actually care about. As your list grows — and as OpenFilings covers more markets — that hunt gets slower every week.

A home screen should work the other way around: your companies first, then a curated stream of everything else worth a look today.

What For You gives you

For You is a new home layout that splits the dashboard into three clear surfaces:

SurfaceWhat you see
Your watchlistLive tiles for every company you follow — price, recent filings, key moves — in one glance
For You feedRanked cards across filings, press releases, and insider activity, deduplicated so one company's filing storm does not bury everything else
Trending todayCompanies drawing attention across OpenFilings right now — useful on day one, before you have built a watchlist

Filings, wires, and Form 4 insider rows already share one enriched stream (see the enriched feed post). For You is how that stream finally feels personal on the home screen.

You can switch between the classic chronological feed and For You at any time. No forced migration — pick the layout that fits how you work.

Your watchlist, up front

The watchlist strip is not a sidebar afterthought anymore. It is the anchor of the dashboard: every ticker you follow gets a compact tile with the context you opened the app for — what filed, what moved, what landed in your notification inbox.

Before, loading those tiles meant the app asking the server once per ticker on every visit. That was fine with three names and painful with thirty. For You loads the whole strip in one shot, so the home screen stays fast as your list grows.

A feed that knows what to skip

The ranked feed below your watchlist is built around a simple idea: show me something I have not already seen, and do not repeat what is sitting right above.

  • A company already on your watchlist and visible in the strip? It does not show up again in the ranked feed.
  • Something you dismissed? It stays dismissed.
  • One issuer dumping ten filings in a day? The feed caps how much any single company can dominate, so press, insider trades, and other names still get room.

This is deliberate, transparent ranking — severity and relevance rules, not a black-box model. We are honest about that. The goal today is a feed that respects your attention; the goal tomorrow is to make those rules smarter as we learn what you actually click, add, and dismiss.

New account, empty watchlist, nothing personalized yet — For You still has something to show you.

Trending today highlights companies generating real activity across OpenFilings: fresh filings, press, insider moves. It also powers the teaser on our marketing homepage, so you can see what the platform is tracking before you sign in.

Trending is a discovery row, not a second recommendation engine. It answers "what is happening on OpenFilings right now?" while you build a watchlist that makes the rest of the feed yours.

Try it today

Sign in, open your dashboard, and switch to For You in layout preferences. Follow a few tickers — cross-market if you want; entity search resolves AAPL, Samsung, and LVMH the same way.

If the ranking feels off for your mix, tell us. For You is live, but the rules will keep improving — and your feedback is exactly what shapes what "worth showing" means next.
