Business / Consolidation
3.1. Basis of consolidation i) Subsidiaries Subsidiaries are entities over which the Parent has control and, therefore, the power to govern their financial and operating policies ( Note 1 ) . Subsidiaries are consolidated by aggregating the total amount of their assets, liabilities, income, expenses and cash flows, after making the adjustments and eliminations relating to intra-Group transactions. The results of subsidiaries acquired during the year are included in the consolidated annual accounts from the effective acquisition date. A detail of the subsidiaries is provided in Annex I . Agreements entered into between the Group and non-controlling interests are recognised as a separate transaction. The share of non-controlling interests of the equity and income of the subsidiaries is presented under ‘Equity attributable to non-controlling interests’ and ‘Net profit attributable to non-controlling interests’, respectively. ii) Jointly controlled entities Jointly controlled entities are those entities over whose activities the Group has joint control, established by contractual arrangement.
